Trump, who has positioned himself as a key player in securing Fogel’s freedom, praised the negotiations as “very fair, very reasonable.” Standing alongside Fogel at the White House, Trump said, “To me, he looks damned good,” and expressed hope that the release could pave the way for improved U.S.-Russia relations and an end to the war in Ukraine.
