Galaxy Tab S10

Samsung’s upcoming flagship tablet line may only include the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra models; the base model may be phased out

Samsung has consistently released three new models of its flagship tablet series every few generations, but with the next Galaxy Tab S10 lineup, the company may choose to go in a different direction. The Korean behemoth might drop the base model and only release the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, rather than releasing three models. It’s probable that buyers never really took a liking to the smaller slate, and Samsung would now be competing on an even playing field with Apple’s latest M4 OLED iPad Pro lineup, which consists of two versions.

Samsung could pursue a cost-effective launch strategy

It is reasonable to conclude that Samsung will not be introducing a significant redesign for the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus based on the renders of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Furthermore, a rumor from Korea indicates that Samsung’s sales strategy will shift since the base model would not launch with the two premium slates. Its opponent may be the world’s second-largest manufacturer of tablets, but based on market share differences, these companies may as well operate in entirely distinct markets.

Additionally, Samsung is likely aware that it no longer has the ability to boast about the capabilities of its panels because Apple added Tandem OLED, a superior display technology, to the M4 iPad Pro series. As a result, Samsung may look for other marketing avenues with the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. A rumor that the smaller model will employ MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ was previously covered by us. The rumor stated that Samsung would no longer be able to use the chipset due to Qualcomm’s slow pricing rises.

Remember that in terms of pure performance and efficiency, the Dimensity 9300+ and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are not even close to rivaling the M4. However, Samsung may be counting on the larger 12.4- and 14.6-inch screens in conjunction with the Android operating system to win over more people.
