Senior Congressman Jairam Ramesh claimed on Saturday that the INDIA bloc had not yet received invitations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s June 9 swearing-in event.
“The swearing-in ceremony is only open to leaders of the international community.” The invitation hasn’t reached our leaders yet. “We will consider it when our INDIA alliance leaders receive the invitation,” the general secretary of Congress stated at a press conference on Saturday.
Ramesh asserted earlier on social media that Prime Minister Modi suffered a “moral, political, and personal” setback as a result of the results of the most recent Lok Sabha elections.
“The search for positive aspects of the mandate, which has been a moral, political, and individual setback for Narendra Modi, has begun. The general secretary of the Congress stated on X that “it is being propagated that Mr. Narendra Modi is the first to receive a mandate thrice in a row after Jawaharlal Nehru.”
It is unclear how becoming a one third Pradhan Mantri and leading a party to 240 seats fulfills a mandate. In contrast, Nehru received a two-thirds majority in 1952, 1957, and 1962, with 364 seats, 371 seats, and 361 seats, respectively. However, he persisted in being a total democracy, giving Parliament such careful nursing through his unwavering presence,” he continued.
