The 2024 People’s Choice Awards celebrated a diverse range of talents across various categories, with notable winners including Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Simu Liu, Olivia Rodrigo, Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, and Jimmy Fallon.
Taylor Swift emerged as a big winner, securing victories in four categories: Female Artist, Pop Artist, Concert Tour, and Social Celebrity. On the other hand, Travis Kelce claimed the title of Athlete of the Year.
Simu Liu, known for his hosting duties, was also a nominee in the movie performance category for his role in “Barbie” but did not secure a win, as the award went to America Ferrera.
Olivia Rodrigo had a successful night, winning awards for Song of the Year with “Vampire” and Album of the Year for “Guts.” Nicki Minaj received accolades for Hip-Hop Artist and Collaboration Song, the latter for “Barbie World,” a collaboration with Ice Spice featuring Aqua.
Ice Spice, in addition to the collaboration win with Nicki Minaj, secured the New Artist award. Jimmy Fallon was recognized for his contributions, winning in two categories: Nighttime Talk Show for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and Host for “That’s My Jam.”
The awards show was hosted by Simu Liu and aired live on Sunday, February 18, on NBC, Peacock, and E. The venue for the event was the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

Margot Robbie’s win for Female Movie Star offered some consolation for her Oscar nomination snub. Ice Spice’s victory in the New Artist category served as a redemption of sorts following her loss in the Grammy’s Best New Artist category.
“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” triumphed in two categories: Action Movie and Action Movie Star, awarded to Rachel Zegler.
“Only Murders in the Building,” “The Last of Us,” and “The Kardashians” each claimed two awards. “Only Murders” secured wins for Comedy Show and Female TV Star (Selena Gomez), while “The Last of Us” earned honors for Drama Show and Male TV Star (Pedro Pascal). “The Kardashians” won in the Reality Show category, with Khloé Kardashian winning Reality TV Star over her sister Kim.
The event featured notable presentations and performances, with Jennifer Aniston presenting the Comedy Icon Award to Adam Sandler, and Victoria Monét presenting the Music Icon Award to Lenny Kravitz, who also performed during the show. Lainey Wilson and Kylie Minogue added to the entertainment with their own performances.
